High Pressure Boiler Operator

High Pressure Boiler Operator needed to work in food production facility.

 

Duties

Oversee daily operation of steam boiler

Keep up to date records and daily logs

Set up and operate auxiliary systems

Develop maintenance and inspections schedules

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on boiler and auxiliary equipment

 

Requirements

State of Maine, High Pressure Boiler Operator license or higher

Basic mechanical ability

 

Qualifications

Ability to work as part of a team in coordinating production goals and schedules

Independently maintain and repair equipment

Adapt to growing production and changing demands

Ability to create and maintain solid working relationships with regulatory and inspection agencies

Product Finisher (Labeling)

Reports to: Creamery Manager
This position is a full-time, hourly position. 

 

Qualifications:

 

Inspect ready for sale product for anomalies and label/pack product for end-users.

Willingness to assist in all aspects of cheese production and creamery operations

Willingness to work independently as well as a part of a team

Ability to interact effectively with vendors, customers and the general public.

Ability to lift 20 lbs from knee to waist height repeatedly and work on feet all day

 

Responsibilities:

 

Inspect product for any flaws or anomalies.

Label, pack, and palletize ready for sale product.

Obtain a finished case count of packed product.

Rotate finished product into existing inventory.

Inventory Control

Reports to: Creamery Manager

This position is a full-time, hourly position. 

Inventory control is a critical job involved with maintaining an acceptable level of physical inventory. The inventory could be raw material inventory, necessary to carry out manufacturing activities or inventory available for sale. Either way running out of inventory can shut down operations and cause a loss of revenue. Too much inventory can be problematic as well. If you hold inventory too long breakage and obsolescence becomes a problem.

Qualifications:

 

Previous experience in warehouse or inventory related responsibilities is preferred.

Willingness to assist in all aspects of cheese production and creamery operations.

Ability to work well independently as well as a part of a team.

Ability to interact effectively with vendors, customers and the general public.

Ability to work efficiently in fluctuating temperatures as duties involve time in a walk-in refrigerator and an un-airconditioned loading dock.

Crouching, climbing, reaching and lifting are requirements of inventory control employees.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The inventory control professional is responsible for maintaining acceptable and accurate inventory levels. They must report shortages, overages and all inventory levels at least monthly for replenishment. This process ensures continued operations and avoids product or inventory shortages. The inventory control professional is responsible for classifying, labeling and warehousing all inventory for future use. They must keep accurate records of inventory levels and location for easy retrieval. This is critical in keeping the department organized and efficient. The inventory control person is responsible for communicating with department managers on inventory levels and locations. They must maintain a record of all transfers and disposal. The inventory professional must implement and follow a control system to reduce damage, breakage and inventory obsolescence.

 

The inventory control agent is responsible for assisting with  receiving and shipping orders and in logging all incoming inventory purchases. The employee must complete physical inventory counts as required by company policy. The inventory control agent must reconcile the inventory records for a complete and accurate count.

Production Laborer

Reports to: Creamery Manager

This position is a full-time, hourly position. 

 

Qualifications:

 

Previous experience in food service and/or preparation

Knowledge of and some previous experience with aspects of cheese production preferred

Willingness to assist in all aspects of cheese production and creamery operations

Willingness to work independently as well as a part of a team

Ability to interact effectively with vendors, customers and the general public

Willingness to work collaboratively with others for educational purposes and provide general public information

Ability to lift 70 lbs from knee to waist height repeatedly

 

Responsibilities:

 

Assist in all aspects of cheese production

Manage and lead the cheese production staff in the absence of the Creamery Manager.

Handling, cutting and packaging of cheese for shipment

Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment and clean up after production.

Product Finisher (Cut & Wrap)

Reports to: Creamery Manager

This position is a full-time, hourly position. 

 

Tends machines that cuts blocks of cheese into pieces of specified shape and size.  Examines cheese for defects in color, texture, and body.

 

Qualifications:

 

Previous experience in food service and/or preparation preferred.

Willingness to assist in all aspects of cheese production and creamery operations

Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team

Ability to lift 70 lbs from knee to waist height repeatedly

 

Responsibilities:

 

Handling, cutting, and packaging cheese for shipment to resale customers.

Stack product onto pallets ready for labeling and packing.

Store pallets of ready for sale product in walk-in refrigerator.

Keep all equipment and work surfaces in working order and in sanitary condition.

Manage and lead the cheese production staff in the absence of the Creamery Manager
