Fee:  VAST will provide a picnic lunch, and cost of Ferry for all veterans with a disability rating. Veterans without a rating and family members are welcome to join us and purchase their own ferry ticket

Includes: Walk around Peaks Island, Museum Tour,  Lunch and Ferry ticket 

Description:  VAST will host our annual walk around Peaks Island and picnic lunch on Monday Oct. 2, departing from Casco Bay Lines, Portland, ME on 9:15am Ferry and return on 2:45pm Ferry. We’ll walk around scenic Peaks Island and then have lunch and a tour at the 5th Maine Museum. Lunch will be provided by VAST on the porch of the 5^th Maine Museum. We have a limited number of trikes available for those with mobility issues.

Driving Directions to Casco Bay Lines

From Points South

• Take the Maine Turnpike (I-95) to Exit 44
• Take I-295 to Exit 7 (Franklin Street)
• Follow Franklin Street to the end and go straight across the intersection

• After crossing Veterans’ Bridge, turn right at the light onto Commercial Street (Route 1A North)
• Turn right at the third traffic light (corner of Franklin Street)
