September’s Flavorful Spotlight: Ranch Curd

As we welcome the arrival of fall, we’re thrilled to introduce another standout in our lineup of cheeses for September—Ranch Curd. This zesty, flavorful cheese curd brings a bold twist to our classic cheddar curds, making it a must-try for cheese lovers everywhere.

A Zesty Infusion of Flavor

Our Ranch Curd starts with the same high-quality cheddar curds that have made Pineland Farms Dairy a household name. These bite-sized nuggets are known for their fresh, creamy dairy flavor and mildly nutty finish. But we didn’t stop there—our Ranch Curd takes things up a notch with the tangy, herby flavors of ranch dressing, complemented by the slight spice of red bell peppers. The result? A cheese curd that’s bursting with flavor, perfect for snacking, sprinkling over salads, or adding a zing to your favorite comfort foods.

And it’s not just our customers who love it—Ranch Curd was awarded a Bronze Medal at the 2019 World Cheese Awards in Bergamo, Italy! This international recognition speaks to the care and craftsmanship that goes into every batch of our flavored curds.

Celebrating the First-Ever Maine Poutine Fest

This year marks the inaugural Maine Poutine Fest, and we couldn’t be more excited to be part of it! The festival is a tribute to the classic French-Canadian dish, poutine, where restaurants from across Maine will compete to create the best version of this comfort food favorite.

As proud sponsors of the event, Pineland Farms Dairy Company is donating around 450 pounds of cheese curds to support the 11+ participants as they craft their signature poutine dishes. It’s a fantastic way for us to celebrate and contribute to this exciting new festival, which has already sold out due to overwhelming interest.

While this year’s festival tickets are sold out, we encourage everyone to join the waitlist here and start planning for next year’s event. It’s an experience not to be missed, with music, games, kid-friendly activities, and of course, lots of incredible poutine! Several food trucks will also be on-site to enhance your poutine experience.

We’re also excited to cheer on the participants as they put their culinary skills to the test, vying for the title of “Best Poutine of the Fest” and the coveted Championship Belt. It’s a great way to celebrate the rich French-Canadian heritage that has influenced so much of Maine’s culture and cuisine.
